A Prayer to Saturn
A beautiful medium-sized Roman temple, here in a small Roman outpost, perhaps somewhere in Britain. The temple is dedicated to Saturn (known as Cronus to the Greeks) and he held sway over matters such as time, wealth and periodic renewal. It is part of Del-ka Aedilis Roma series which I have shown many other temples from. This one has beautiful lion statutes out front and inside a large statue of the god as well as reliefs on the walls.
