Eyes On Me

Eyes On Me

DICTATORSHOP has added more pieces to the sexy and sumptous ClubNoir range. Using the Groove Chair and the Groove Lounger, each with a rich leather texture selected but you have other choices too (such as latex, and so many mix & match possibilities), I tried to create a private nightclub corner. The build is actually the Nautilus from Fanatik, which comes preset with a reflection probe and lighting, but I covered the walls with the curtains from the same set to make it more night club and less steampunk.

Both the Chair and the Lounger are packed full of animations and I love that these have a very large selection of excellent solo animations for both male and female avatars. I could easily find animations that showed off the furniture well and also for showing the sexy romper from the Muses, the cute Taffy hair from Wasabi (love the unusual pony tail and the pretty bow) and for doing close-ups to show the wonderful new Depthglass Eye System (mesh eyes that utilise BOM and a PBR lens, for amazing realism) from ContraptioN. As a result, there’s a lot of photos in this post!

I do have one complaint about the eyes, however. I ended up stuck for hours last week making my own eye textures because the Depthglass Eye System can make a more “basic” texture look amazing and now I can get exactly the colours I want.

Dark Angel

Dark Angel

It is almost too hot to even be near the computer right now, but I had gone way too long without even a little bit of creative playing around in Second Life. I felt like something dark and dramatic and landed on combining two releases from Petrichor and Ersch for a full on dark fantasy look.  Rolaeus Angel, featuring the beautiful horns as well as various kinds of halos as well as smaller pieces like earrings, is out at Goth Core for June. The Seirane outfit, on the other hand, was a Fantasy Faire release that includes ornate dress, a very stylish capelet and intimidating boots. Just what a dark enchantress might wear for a midnight stroll with her tame wolf, don’t you think?

Anyway, I am absolutely melting for a few days more, but then I might feel more creative again.

Modesty

Modesty

Steam curls around the figure who welcomes you into the baths, wearing a curious attire of a simple wrap and an elaborately wound scarf that veils her hair and trails down to the floor. Her face is not veiled, but even so obscured by intricate chains.

The Roman Bath Sulis from Del-ka Aedilis includes the various steps expected in a Roman bath, from warm water, a steam room and a cold pool. Here, the baths are repurposed for a more fantastical setting. Perhaps the woman is a priestess welcoming you to temple dedicated to a water goddess? Her look is created using four new releases from We Love Role-Play. The minimal Brynna outfit from Glyph is combined with the headscarf and underscarf from Lethologicas Modesty set, which also includes a face veil and several options for how to combine the scarves. In this case, the resulting look is not very modest, but I like the contrast.

Then we have the Flower face chains by Angelicus, a really interesting look combined with the head scarf. I am also using eye applies from lovelysweet, from a very vivid set called Nightbloom Eyes.

A Certain Vintage

A Certain Vintage

You still have a few more days (until the 15th) to enjoy the Vintage Fair. Grasshopper Street has this smart and elegant suit out at the fair, which I paired with theit Zelda pumps that are out for Wanderlust Weekend. The suit is neatly tailored and includes a good set of colour options plus tinting on top of that. The fit is excellent on Legacy.

At first I had gone for a more overtly sexy, tousled hairstyle, but then Wasabi released the Sundae style for Access and I quite like the version without the bangs for this look as well. With the bangs it felt more youthful.

The Lian Midcentury Cottage from Trompe Loeil is furnished with a selection of pieces from DICTATORSHOPs Serica range, from which I featured the bed already. Here I went with a different colour scheme that I thought suited the house and the more vintage look very well.  The tables (four different versions) are decor only but the chair and the sofa are packed full of animations and come in PG, Adult Vanilla and Adult Kink. I really liked the solo poses in the chair, they are nicely varied and definitely not the same old seated poses you find in many chairs.

Finally, in the first photo there’s a very cute freebie from Dutchie, the coffee cup. There’s coffee and tea available, each with two different motifs, and they come in wearable or decor. The decor is clickable and will deliver a holdable cup to yourself or to guests, so perfect for having around your house if you never want to search your inventory for a mug again!
