Decadent Heritage

Decadent Heritage

Some scenes don’t need much setup—just the right furniture and the right mood. DICTATORSHOP’s Bondage Cross from the Heritage series became the centerpiece for this one, its polished wood, padded support, and smooth restraint system working beautifully for both close interaction and full-scene shots. The cross includes solo poses for male and female avatars as well as a maledom and a femdom menu for two avatars at the same time. In addition, the cross is Jolt-enabled so that when the submissive is using the solo menu, he or she will react to being hit by the Jolt-enabled whips from DICTATORSHOP.

To balance the severity of the cross, I used Libertine’s decadent divan the Swan, available at the current round of We Love Role-Pay for a few more days. Its carved frame and deep upholstery create a perfect visual contrast—comfort observing tension.

For my look, Petrichor & ERSCH’s Valeneros outfit provided a gothic feel and paired welll with Petrichor’s Kessa Heels. Stealthic’s Faith hair added a soft, romantic touch as another contrast.

Ran, in the role of the (un)lucky captive, is wearing no.match No Sweat hair and Contraption’s Cyclist’s Breeches.

Winter Royalty

Winter Royalty

There are places where winter never truly ends — where embers of magic linger in the air, catching on falling snow and breathing life into old stories.

The current rounds of Enchantment and We Love Role-Play offered the perfect pairing for a scene like this: a sumptuous gown with storybook detailing and a crown fit for winter royalty from Grasshopper Street, an intricate hairstyle from No.Match and a magical scepter from Koukla that catches the light beautifully (and which includes a HUD for a selection of magical particle effects, not used here). And, as a final touch, a dramatic eyeshadow from Someone, echoing the colours that I picked for the gown from the many options on the HUD.

Breaking a Sweat

Breaking a Sweat

I own a lot of things in Second Life hat I would never own IRL. However, Dutchie’s Luxury Gym collection has to be in the top 5 when it comes to which items are the most foreign to RL me. I am so not a gym person. Fortunately, my avatar is up for anything! And for this review, Ran joined me so we could put more pieces through their paces and show off a selection of the great animations in a short video. It does not feature all of the pieces and it does not feature the adult animations from the Exercise Bench. However, I have also added some photos below, including some to tease those adult animations.

The collection is essentially a full, modular gym environment, built around the usual high-quality animations, top-quality meshes and PBR-enhanced materials you’ve come to expect from Dutchie. You could easily setup a whole gym with this, not just a personal workout space.

To read about each piece in detail, visit the Specials page on Dutchie’s website, which links through to all of the gym items. For easy purchasing of the whole set, visit the Marketplace and pick up the Gym Set or the Adult Gym Set.

The cute hairstyle I am wearing is another Truth and Wasabi collaboration for the Truth Collective and the sporty top and pants is from Faida.

Through the Mirror Darkly

Through the Mirror Darkly

The light beyond the mirror was not of this world. It shimmered and fractured, cold and radiant all at once. She stood before it with her lantern raised, the faint gleam of its light reflected in the mirror.

The Faust’s Repose Mirror from Lunette is a hauntingly beautiful centerpiece. It comes in both PBR and non-PBR versions and offers five color themes— blue, black, silver/white, gold, and red—each with a distinct tone. The mirrored surface reacts to lighting and reflection probes, creating depth that feels almost alive. At only 2 LI, it’s impressively efficient for such visual impact.

For this scene, I paired it with dviousMind’s Selene gown and necklace as well as Cabal’s Halogen Lantern, all new releases for this round of We Love Role-Play. The Selene gown comes in sheer and opaque options, scattered with stars like fragments of night sky. The matching Selene Moon Necklace complements the gown’s motifs with suspended charms and metallic accents that catch even the faintest light.

The Halogen Lantern, available both as decor and wearable (left or right hand), provides the ideal finishing touch, providing an arcane light that works beautifully with reflective materials and PBR surfaces, as seen here.

A final new release, though not from WLRP, is the beautiful Truth Collective hairstyle from Truth and Wasabi called Angelic, which can be worn in four different ways, all very flattering.
