Starlight Muse

Starlight Muse

Wonderous We Love Role-Play has a fantastic birthday round—that means gifts for group members!—to soothe the withdrawal pangs following the end of the Fantasy Faire. From the Muses, a romantic gown with lace adornments on sleeve and bodice. Its sold as a HUD fatpack, allowing you to mix and match the colours applied to sleeves, bodice and skirt. And from new-to-me Montell, a jewellery set that suggests Art Deco influences to me.  Both the dress and the jewellery somehow feel quite at home in the Starlight Villa by Tirrany Designs, an elegant elven structure with soaring arches, tall windows and an integrated fantastical tree.

I added a few things that I had not yet covered from the Fantasy Faire. First, the Flowari accessories from Petrichor, a large set of different orbs and miniature spears, as well as some jewellery. The holdable pieces come with a selection of animations for each and they are texture changed via a HUD. I also added in the Elven Scroll Stand from Harshlands in the background, one of the gifts from the Quest.

Finally, the charming updo with its soft loose strands and casual bun is by Wasabi for Access.

Fantasy Faire 2025: Fading Away

Fantasy Faire 2025: Fading Away

Just a quiet, contemplative shot from Alia Baroque’s beautiful Holi sim to mark the end of my time at this year’s Fantasy Faire. Alas, I had too much going on IRL to spend as much time on it as usual, I did not even have time to prepare a LitFest presentation which makes me very sad. But I am already looking forward to next year and hoping for more of a chance to explore all that the Faire has to offer. I’ve even got a few purchases I have not had time to feature, so this may not be the final post with Fantasy Faire content even though it is my goodbye to the 2025 Faire.

Villa Urbana

Villa Urbana

One of the releases in the new Rome series from Del-Ka Aedilis, which includes buildings to create a whole Roman city, is the Villa Urbana. This is a two-storey city villa for the rich and famous of the Roman upper class. At the entrance you are of course met by an atrium and there is also a banquet hall and a study, as well as a small garden at the rear. Upstairs, there is a lovely balcony and two bedrooms. Additionally, there are rooms that can serve as kitchens and other utility areas. The villa is available in red, light blue and dark blue.

For this setup, I’ve added a few furnishings from the Del-ka Aedilis range: the Banquet Triclinium from the Civitas series and also a chair, table and writing set from the same series for the balcony. The walls surrounding the villa to keep out the city noises are the Roman Walls from Fanatik‘s Forum set.

Fantasy Faire 2025: Elf Nouveau

Fantasy Faire 2025: Elf Nouveau

Far away from secluded woodlands, yet somehow familiar given the ornamental and graceful buildings. The gardens were beautiful as well, and the art that graced some of the walls, but the fountains held a particular allure.

Galerie Gaillard is probably the most intricate and ambitious build at this year’s Fantasy Faire. It is sponsored by ContraptioN and you could spend so much time wandering around there, looking at all the displays within the gallerie and discovering new things to see. My photos hardly do it justice, it is too large too feature at the same time as you try to feature the details of an outfit, but perhaps I will have time to revisit it.

The beautiful gown by Poet’s Heart has the option of plain or embroidered textures and the latter suited the look of sim very well. I accessorized with filigree earrings and a necklace by Petrichor, as well as the halo that gives adds even more of an Art Nouveau touch, and with the set of delicate rings by Tealeaf Treasures, a store that is new to me but looks very interesting. On the Elfin ears by Illusions are ornate ear caps that blend nicely in with the style of the rest of the jewellery. The hair by Raven Bell is the beautiful Louise updo, which offers a lot of options for customising the style, and I used the Secret Garden poses by Mysteria..
