Tracing the Threads of History and Fantasy

Modesty

Modesty

Steam curls around the figure who welcomes you into the baths, wearing a curious attire of a simple wrap and an elaborately wound scarf that veils her hair and trails down to the floor. Her face is not veiled, but even so obscured by intricate chains.

The Roman Bath Sulis from Del-ka Aedilis includes the various steps expected in a Roman bath, from warm water, a steam room and a cold pool. Here, the baths are repurposed for a more fantastical setting. Perhaps the woman is a priestess welcoming you to temple dedicated to a water goddess? Her look is created using four new releases from We Love Role-Play. The minimal Brynna outfit from Glyph is combined with the headscarf and underscarf from Lethologicas Modesty set, which also includes a face veil and several options for how to combine the scarves. In this case, the resulting look is not very modest, but I like the contrast.

Then we have the Flower face chains by Angelicus, a really interesting look combined with the head scarf. I am also using eye applies from lovelysweet, from a very vivid set called Nightbloom Eyes.

Seeking Sanctuary

Seeking Sanctuary

Another piece for We Love Role-Play and this time I focused more on the mood than the details. The altar by Angelicus just had to be captured like this and setting it within the Sanctuary of the Sun by Moon Coven made it a complete scene, even if it doesn’t show you that much of the sanctuary itself.

The Camille outfit by glYph is nicely detailed and includes an extensive texture HUD for mixing and matching. It has a standard fantasy rogue feel to it, but the detailing sets it apart.

I also picked up the latest hair from Magika, called April, because the loose pony tail was such an unusual look and it felt right for this kind of look.
