With the return of gachas, deviousMind released the gorgeous and elaborate Papillon set. I admit, I did not have much luck, but the Marketplace helped me out so I at least could get covered. ;) And it seemed like a dark and a bit decadent setting would suit this look well, which I achieved using a selection of new pieces from DICTATORSHOPs Heritage collection. These are timeless pieces and in particular the aged leather look on the Salon Loveseat was perfect for this setup. The Loveseat is an Adult Vanilla piece with 169 animations available and a choice of 11 aged leathers, 10 wood and 5 metal textures. The Hope Chest is a pure decor piece, but with the same beautiful finishing and a choice of 10 woods and 5 metals. And the Rug cCllection is perfect for tying the room together, with three different rug shapes and 8 textures to choose from. The lamps are also from the Heritage range, but those I have featured before as well.

I also added a distinctly more gothic piece in the shape of a skull-adorned mirror from Petrichor. I just love the texture of the mirror glass, it has some lovely aging and distortion to it. And the materials on the frame are gorgeous. Speaking of materials, do take a closer look at the Beach Day hair from Truth and Wasabi. It has some amazing materials added which look stunning in shifting light.

Shop & Hop With Love

The 2025 Valentine Shop & Hop opened a few days ago. I haven’t had time to go through it all yet, but with the handy guide (see the previous link) you can always hit your favourite stores first. For me, it was deviousMind and Teegle this time around. deviousMind to pick up this gorgeous gift outfit which comes in red or pink and Teegle to make up my mind as to which of the 100 new PBR coats I wanted to buy. That was not an easy task! There are so many gorgeous new coats for both the dogs and the horses, and I am sure I will be back for more (they are at 20% off at the Shop & Hop), but for now I picked up Pearl (the light grey) and Sizzle (the sorrel).

The Amour hair from Wasabi, with optional hearts sprinkled all through it, was a Happy Weekend special a few weeks ago, but seeing as it was so well suited to the Valentine-themed gown I just had to wear it now. I do love a long and flowing style, and it matches the beautiful manes on the horses. ;)

Banshee

The Banshee set from deviousMind for the Wild Haunt event caught my eye right away as it really captured something of what a darker fae or fairie might dress in with its blend of ragged furs and jewels. This particular lady of the fae also sports a set of impressive horns and long, slender ears courtesy of Petrichor’s Ostrae set, which of course comes with a multitude of texture and configuration options such as optional decorations and optional strands of hair woven around the horns (a separate HUD with hair textures is also included). The Noelle hair from Magika, a loose braid with soft wisps and optional bangs around the face, worked very well together with the horns.

A fae, of course, needs no saddle or bridle to gallop through the enchanted woods and her bold steed is not entirely mortal either.

A Secret Garden

The last weeks of summer are here, lazy and golden. I don’t have a swing in my garden, so I have to settle for lounging on one virtually instead, again courtesy of Dictatorshop who has released three different styles of swings recently. I already showed one suited to a beach and here is one of two intended for a garden setting. The other is a single-person swing whereas this one offers male and female single poses but also couples cuddles and a version with adult animations to take your swinging to new heights. Pun definitely intended.

This Loveseat Swing from the Secret Garden series includes texture options for both wood and fabric as well as foliage options for the tree for different seasons. There are 70 PG couple animations and 180 Adult Vanilla options.

The fanciful outfit is a new NextUp set from deviousMind, featuring a roses & thorns motif with swirling skirt attachments. There are several different ways to wear it depending on which sets you manage to win.  Worn with it is the latest Truth Collective release from Truth and Wasabi, a high ponytail which falls over one shoulder and can be worn with and without bangs.
