Tracing the Threads of History and Fantasy

Starlight Muse

Starlight Muse

Wonderous We Love Role-Play has a fantastic birthday round—that means gifts for group members!—to soothe the withdrawal pangs following the end of the Fantasy Faire. From the Muses, a romantic gown with lace adornments on sleeve and bodice. Its sold as a HUD fatpack, allowing you to mix and match the colours applied to sleeves, bodice and skirt. And from new-to-me Montell, a jewellery set that suggests Art Deco influences to me.  Both the dress and the jewellery somehow feel quite at home in the Starlight Villa by Tirrany Designs, an elegant elven structure with soaring arches, tall windows and an integrated fantastical tree.

I added a few things that I had not yet covered from the Fantasy Faire. First, the Flowari accessories from Petrichor, a large set of different orbs and miniature spears, as well as some jewellery. The holdable pieces come with a selection of animations for each and they are texture changed via a HUD. I also added in the Elven Scroll Stand from Harshlands in the background, one of the gifts from the Quest.

Finally, the charming updo with its soft loose strands and casual bun is by Wasabi for Access.

Petals on the Wind

Petals on the Wind

The Empire-waisted Lottie gown by Sweet Kajira is made ultra-feminine and ethereal by the partially transparent overskirt. Add to that the fantastical floral headpiece by Zibska, which includes a cloud of floating petals, and you are starting to look very fantastical. Perhaps a bit elven, even? That is why I opted for making use of Tirrany Designs Shadows of Lorien cottage, placing it amidst a rocky landscape created with primarily Fanatik landscaping. All the mentioned pieces, save for the Fanatik landscaping, are new releases at the March round of We Love Role-Play, meaning they can be had at a discount for the duration of the event. In addition to this I am using poses (with more floating petals included) from Stardust. My skin is not new, it is a previous hunt item from alaskametro, but it was recently updated to 2K textures and more tones will be available at the Skin Fair.

Frosted

Frosted

An elegant set of matching furniture draped in luxurious fabric and offering a wide range of animations, that is the livingroom set from the Frosted series by DICTATORSHOP, which includes a chair, a loveseat and a sofa. All the pieces have a wide range of texture options for both the throw and the pillows, some solid and some patterned, some winter holiday specific and others suited to the whole year. The black looks very sumptuous and the gold pillows are a nice accent.

Each piece comes in two versions that determines the animations included. For the chair it is Couples PG and Adult Kink, for the loveseat it is Adult and PG and for the sofa it is Adult Omni and PG. On the page linked above you can get a look at the menus included with each piece.

I used the Cozy Winter Haven skybox from Tirrany Designs and added a carpet from Libertine to warm up the floor a touch.  The cami set is by The Muses and it is all bakes on mesh, which I still think looks lovely for lingerie and it is so convenient as well.  The Flurry hairstyle, with two long pigtails, is a new release from Wasabi which can be worn with or without the long tendrils framing the face.

Winter Haven

Winter Haven

A cosy winter skybox, furnished with a couple of elegant new pieces from Libertine’s collection, offers the perfect place for a lady to receive a special visitor. Garbed in a long gown with matching jacket, both decorated with luxurious fur, she lights a red candle that spreads a spicy scent in the room. Then she moves to lounge on the sofa, coyly hiding her face behind a lace fan.

There are so many goodies at this round of We Love Role-Play! Starting with the skybox, it is from Tirrany Design and features a beautiful fireplace at one end of the room and windows that overlook a snowy landscape at the other. The style of it is vaguely 19th century but could fit a broad range depending on how you furnish it. Here, I am using two pieces from Libertine, a new version of the Cheshire Pouf (which includes animations for decorating a Christmas tree) and the brand new Alice couch in an Adult edition.

The gown and jacket is by Luas and if you get the fatpack you can mix and match the colours between the pieces and also pick different fur colours. The candle comes from Jinx and includes a basic holding animation as well as either closed or open eyes.
