Tracing the Threads of History and Fantasy

Luxorious Lounging

Luxorious Lounging

Pardon the pun, but given the luxurious Luxor set from Lore, I couldn’t resist it. This opulent new release is available at We Love Role-Play and includes the sofa, the cartouches and the scarab. The sofa and the scarab come with texture huds and the cartouches in four metal options. The scene I ended up with mixes a bit of fantasy with a touch of art deco and a drop of art nouveau and I love the way the colour combinations came out in the end.

In addition to the set from Lore, you will also find most of the other elements in the scene at WLRP. The saucy little outfit is from Sweet Kajira and I accessorized it with earrings and a hair ornament from the Muses and a kiseru—a Japanese smoking pipe—from Tealeaf Treasures. I also added in another decor element, a rug from Dreaming Thicket that is part of a large set of different rug shapes.

From the just-finished Skin Fair comes a new head, Justine by LOGO. I am generally wearing LeLutka all the time these days, since my other head brands have not updated for ages, but it is always nice with some options and this head has a very nice profile and a pretty versatile look. I am also using the alaskametro skin that was released at the Skin Fair and the combination looks great to me.

Northern Lights at the Jingle Bell Bazaar

Northern Lights at the Jingle Bell Bazaar

Today, I explored the winter landscape at Enchanted Realms Jingle Bell Bazaar some more and I decided on a dark and dramatic look that played with night and starlight.

The black gown by Gidget’s Style has a belt with a sparkly pattern and deep neckline. Its rather modern in cut but became much more fantastical when I added the Starlit Cape from Raven Bell (an earlier release, not from the event). And that made it a great fit for the lovely Royal Wings Tiara from Tealeaf Treasures. I am still wearing eye appliers from Out of Orbit, though this one has more of a frosty/lilac look to it.

Fantasy Faire 2025: Elf Nouveau

Fantasy Faire 2025: Elf Nouveau

Far away from secluded woodlands, yet somehow familiar given the ornamental and graceful buildings. The gardens were beautiful as well, and the art that graced some of the walls, but the fountains held a particular allure.

Galerie Gaillard is probably the most intricate and ambitious build at this year’s Fantasy Faire. It is sponsored by ContraptioN and you could spend so much time wandering around there, looking at all the displays within the gallerie and discovering new things to see. My photos hardly do it justice, it is too large too feature at the same time as you try to feature the details of an outfit, but perhaps I will have time to revisit it.

The beautiful gown by Poet’s Heart has the option of plain or embroidered textures and the latter suited the look of sim very well. I accessorized with filigree earrings and a necklace by Petrichor, as well as the halo that gives adds even more of an Art Nouveau touch, and with the set of delicate rings by Tealeaf Treasures, a store that is new to me but looks very interesting. On the Elfin ears by Illusions are ornate ear caps that blend nicely in with the style of the rest of the jewellery. The hair by Raven Bell is the beautiful Louise updo, which offers a lot of options for customising the style, and I used the Secret Garden poses by Mysteria..
