Tracing the Threads of History and Fantasy

Starlight Muse

Starlight Muse

Wonderous We Love Role-Play has a fantastic birthday round—that means gifts for group members!—to soothe the withdrawal pangs following the end of the Fantasy Faire. From the Muses, a romantic gown with lace adornments on sleeve and bodice. Its sold as a HUD fatpack, allowing you to mix and match the colours applied to sleeves, bodice and skirt. And from new-to-me Montell, a jewellery set that suggests Art Deco influences to me.  Both the dress and the jewellery somehow feel quite at home in the Starlight Villa by Tirrany Designs, an elegant elven structure with soaring arches, tall windows and an integrated fantastical tree.

I added a few things that I had not yet covered from the Fantasy Faire. First, the Flowari accessories from Petrichor, a large set of different orbs and miniature spears, as well as some jewellery. The holdable pieces come with a selection of animations for each and they are texture changed via a HUD. I also added in the Elven Scroll Stand from Harshlands in the background, one of the gifts from the Quest.

Finally, the charming updo with its soft loose strands and casual bun is by Wasabi for Access.

The Baron’s House

The Baron’s House

Yesterday, I turned myself into a man for the day and took a walk around the SL Renaissance Festival. Across the sims dedicated to the event, there are some beautifully atmospheric areas. This one uses custom builds by Harshlands which also are available for purchase in their store at the festival. The one I’ve focused on in the second image is called Baron and is a donation item where the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

The top half of my outfit is also from the festival, a very elegant long coat from Noble Creations. A shirt peeks out from under it as well and it fitted very nicely over the trousers from ContraptioN.

Trickster

Trickster

A final look at this month’s round of We Love Role-Play, featuring an intrepid explorer who has come across an enigmatic statue in a cave. But what magic guides our adventurer here, especially as her milky eyes suggest that she does not see in the normal fashion?

Combining items from Harshlands (the statue, which comes in 3 versions and with and without PBR), Senzafine (the Brielle tunic, available in eight colours) and Poema (eye appliers with various eye conditions), with poses from Uzme.

Winter’s Ending

Winter’s Ending

With the Lady of Winter statue by Harshlands, I say farewell to Winter’s Hollow for this year.  Tomorrow (the 20th) is the last day, so head over for any last minute shopping.

This dramatic statue comes in three different stone types as well as with and without snow and with and without the pedestal.
