A week ago, I broke my ring finger on my right hand. I did not think I would be writing anything again for a month, since a full cast was the first prognosis. However, it turned out to need more complicated surgery which in the end meant I needed to be able to start training my finger right away. So, no cast, just a very sore and stiff finger. Writing is a bit of a pain, so I’ll probably keep things short and sweet for a while, but its much better than the alternative!

To get me rolling again, a Viking-inspired setup using the Jarnvidr Longhall from Del-ka Aedilis again, here with some furnishings from Angelicus. And I am wearing one of many excellent Viking/Norse-inspired outfits from Rakshasa. This one is called Vigdis and consists of a top and a skirt.

Its Teegletime Again

Until September 28th, you can visit the annual Dog & Pony Show for all things Teegle, including two brand new Teeglepets with a limited edition of each as well. One of the is “Freyja” the Icelandic Horse and given the name (and the breed) it had to be my choice for what to feature first. As it happened, it also fit really well together with the newest release from Del-ka Aedilis for We Love Role-Play, which opens on the 4th of September. The Jarnvidr Longall is a beautiful Norse building, which richly decorated wood and plenty of space to entertain your guests in true Viking style. It is available in a summer version (seen in the video) and a winter version with snow covering.

The Bath Nymph

I am back from my vacation which means it is time to put my avatar back to work as well. A new round of We Love Role-Play was waiting for me and I dove right in to explore what it had to offer.

My first pick was the Roman Bath Sulis from Del-ka Aedilis. This build recreates an authentic Roman bath with great attention to details. Roman baths involved several different rooms, such as a warm pool, a steam room, a cold pool and a sauna, and these are all represented here. The walls and floors are beautifully decorated with mosaics and in the public toilet area—complete with sponges on a stick—there is even some graffitti. Most of the rooms offer animations, both singles and couples, for an even more immersive experience.

The photos give just a small taste of the bath, so do make sure to check out the build yourselves at the demo area. The build comes with a convenient rezzbox, allowing for easy placement on your land.

Shrine of the Huntress

As part of their Rome Series of buildings, Del-ka Aedilis has this beautiful shrine dedicated to Diana, the Roman counterpart to Greek Artemis. As a Huntress, she has a close association with animals such as deer, so I liked the idea of a rural shrine set in a grove of trees and visited by some wild deer, courtesy of the two newest Teeglepets that were released at the Fantasy Faire. It is a small, rather modest shrine, with a water fountain within it and a bronze of Diana mounted on a stag crowning the roof.

The landscape is again the Emmental Solid Sky Landscape, with trees and patches of uneven and rocky ground by Fanatik.
