Tracing the Threads of History and Fantasy

The Letter

The Letter

Golden light spills through the windows, catching on silk, ink, and velvet. This scene lingers in that quiet space between anticipation and memory — a letter half-read, a robe loosely tied, the last warmth of sunset resting against bare skin.

The Zahir robe from Antaya features rich saffron-gold fabric drapes fluidly over the body, trimmed with intricate detailing that frames the chest and cuffs. The cut is generous and relaxed, allowing it to move naturally whether standing at the window or reclining against cushions. The belt cinches just enough to define the silhouette without losing that effortless, luxurious feel.

Reviver’s bold Sacred Bloom tattoo transforms the look entirely. Sweeping florals bloom upward across the chest and throat in deep reds and greens, intricate and deliberate.  Against the warm tones of the robe, the artwork becomes vivid and almost luminous in the fading light.

In hand, the letter from Opifex adds quiet tension. A folded page tied with ribbon suggests unfinished business — news received, or perhaps news yet to be sent.

And then there is the Medusa couch from Libertine. Upholstered in richly textured fabric, it curves generously, inviting repose. The deep blue pattern contrasts beautifully with the golden robe, while its plush form supports both seated contemplation and languid sprawl. Libertine’s detailing is subtle but deliberate, from the sculpted shape to the intricate pattern of the brocade.

A Traveller’s Welcome

A Traveller’s Welcome

For the weary traveller passing through the countryside, an inn is a welcome sight. And within, there might be more on offer than just food and drink…

We Love Role-Plays April round is open and full of great new releases. NOT, however, the updated version of the Tavern Aris from Del-ka Aedilis Rome Series, that is a mainstore release. But I thought it was a nice build for featuring three of the new items from WLRP. First, the Octavia Dress from Rakshasa, which is a very versatile Roman-inspired outfit that can be worn either short or long and with several different options for the top. There’s also a matching leather breastplate, which I left out of this version. Here, I went for a saucy serving wench in the short version, the colours a bit earthy. I matched that with the Eva arm & thigh bracelets from Antaya and gave those a coppery metal look rather than something more expensive. Finally, I used decor from PROPS!, a brand that I have not come across before. They have a nice set called Crossroad Inn at WLRP, which among other things include tables, benches, candles and pitchers. There’s also a hearth and some wall panelling, which I did not make use of here.

The hair I am wearing is a Truth Collective release from Truth and Wasabi, a sassy shoulder-length style with four different styling options.

The tavern itself features an open main area accessible from three sides. On the right side there is an anex that contains three individual rooms that can be used for a variety of purposes.

Regal Reception

Regal Reception

Few were granted the honour of meeting with the King’s favourite in her private apartments, from where it was said she ruled the King and thus the kingdom. She was beautiful, garbed in green and gold, and very dangerous.

From Zaara comes the beautiful Kashmira Lehenga, consisting of a beautiful, embroidered top over a skirt and accessorised with a scarf.  The fatpack allows you to mix and match all the colours, for some lovely combinations. The elaborate hair jewellery is made by Antaya and the HUD includes a good range of colour options for each section, so it was easy to match it to the outfit. Finally, I added part of the Ceres tattoo from Nefekalum, with materials for an extra bit of golden sheen.  All these new releases are from We Love Role-Play, whereas the decor consists of older releases from Old Treasures, Del-ka Aedilis, Libertine and Paper Moon.

The Poet’s Passion

The Poet’s Passion

Sometimes, the poet and his muse get a bit carried away…

For the Fantasy Room, Del-ka Aedilis has released the Scroll Shelf Agrippa, available in two heights, three wood types and with two different ornaments (or none). I set it up in their Villa Agrippa, also adding in the Tablinium Table Agrippa in the background. The couple pose used is by Be My Mannequin? for the POSEvent. It is called “Mine” and at the event you can also get it in a fatpack with another couple pose for 10% off.

My hair is one of Raven Bell’s releases for the Hair Fair (which ends on Sunday the 10th of July, so don’t miss out!), a gorgeous long style fitted for both male and female avatars. Ran is wearing the male version of Ash from Wasabi and you can get a better look at both hairs in the additional photos below. The outfits are by Antaya and Last Ride.
